Dr. James Califf received his undergraduate degree from Auburn University. In 1970, he received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Califf has practiced in the Orlando area for over 30 years. In addition to hospital practice, Dr. Califf has maintained a house call practice that serves the greater Orlando area. Dr. Califf is a past president of the Central Florida Veterinary Medical Association. He served as the hospital director of the Veterinary Emergency Clinic of Central Florida for 17 years. Along with his wife Linda, Dr. Califf lives with his Golden Retriever, and Lovebird.
Dr. Christine McCully received her undergraduate degree from Stetson University in 2001. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2005 from the University of Florida. Her interests include medicine, soft tissue surgery, and dermatology. Dr. McCully lives in College Park, and enjoys snow skiing, photography, and playing with her kids & pets. Along with her husband John, daughter Emma, and son Will, Dr. McCully lives with a 2 cats (named Casey & Grey) and a miniature goldendoodle (named Gracie).
Dr. Jennifer Dempsey worked as a veterinary technician here at Downtown Pet Hospital for two years before leaving to attend veterinary school. Dr. Dempsey received her veterinary degree from UF's College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2013 and is excited to return to the practice! Her interests include dermatology, ophthalmology and dentistry. Dr. Dempsey lives with her husband Kris, lab/great pyrenees mix Primo, and rabbit Maverick!
